This is a under dash brake pedal set up I have been working on.
I have used a pedal set out of a Mitsubishi L300 van. The brake pedal was cut down to make the bell crank and the clutch pedal is used for the brake pedal in this instance.
The booster is a Datsun 120Y and the master cylinder is a 1977 Nisan Patrol master cylinder set up for remote resivor.

10mm hemispherical rod ends are used with a 10mm all thread to connect the pedal to the bell crank.

Rebuilt boosters are avaidible- http://www.datsport.com/510_brake_boost ... _assy.html

This booster uses a non-return valve, on the vacuum hose-

This kit replaces the Nissan fluid bottles and allows you to use a remote fill resivor.

*Note The 120Y master is not a 1inch bore, thats why a Nissan Patrol unit is used. (part No. -JB1419)
All bolts will be grade 8 with Nylok nuts. There is no welding of brake
parts (apart from the bell-crank carrier) so any heat treatment should remain unaffected.

Mate thats an impressive looking setup, well done.
Can I ask where you actually got the Patrol Master Cyl from? I have quoted this part number to Nissan and they reckon its an aftermarket part number, so who would be the manufacturer?

This is great tech, thanks Spark. I have been thinking of something like this for my 27T RPU as i need to have the master cylinder high as possible to make bleeding the brakes easier. With the huge kickup at the rear the brakes are going to be a nightmare.

Looking at it again it should work well without going to remote reservoirs as the T has a cowl vent which could be opened to check the fluid.

Yes, you could position the resivor (s) directly under the cowl vent , and bend the pedal to suite, if you use the L300 brake pedal – they are longer than the clutch that I used for the brake.

Mine will fill though the gas cap on the cowl.
