Now my delemer i want full rego in nsw and dont have a chasis the one in the last pic is one an HQ ute chasis now im fine with that idea except they dont fit so good so my options are mod the Hq by draging in the rails around the cab Or build a hand fabed one wich im more than able to do but worryed about the rego side of things or find one that fits it .
Im at a cross road and dont know wich way is going to be the least hassel as i havent seen a lot of these out there and finding a original chasis is proving quite difficault so any wissdom that can be bestowed would be greatly appriciated. Gavin

Cords sorry I haven't welcomed you earlier.
I have seen this kind of build on HQ 1ton chassis and also F100 chassis with Jag front and rear ends. In both cases the place to start is asking an engineer what is required or investigate club rego.

My Son is building a 70s F100 channeled over a HQ chassis, the engineer was wanting 4 wheel discs (mainly because of the large rims he wants to run) and for the attachment of the cab – wants 4mm minimum resembling the original F100 cab mounts.
A scratch built chassis will have a lot more rules applied
